BEST Physical Therapy

Who We Treat

BEST PT is the destination for injury rehabilitation, injury prevention, performance enhancement, and longevity. Rehabilitation and recovery are at the core of what we do as Physical Therapists. We strive to serve each patient far beyond the rehabilitation of an injury. Our therapists work with you to optimize performance and sustainability for your lifestyle.

At BEST PT, we take pride in customized treatment of the individual.

With every person who walks through our doors, we do our due diligence to gain a deep understanding of the whole person, and we help you to define and achieve your short-term and long-term goals. This allows us to cater to every type of individual and has enabled us to achieve extraordinary results with patients of various ages, athleticism, and sports specializations.

BEST PT Physical Therapists analyze the whole person. For example, when treating a painful knee, traditional medicine might simply identify what part of the knee is damaged or weak and focus simply on improving or strengthening that part of the knee.

The BEST PT approach looks at what caused the knee to weaken or degenerate. The therapist analyzes you and the way you move and how it affects your knee, from the foot all the way to the head. And, our treatment aims to correct the problem that caused the knee issue as opposed to simply treating the symptoms.

Who Do We Treat:

Many of us enjoy an active lifestyle but may find ourselves held back by ongoing pain or stiffness or frustrated that our body doesn’t function the way it used to. This may hold you back at work, at play, or even during regular daily activities. Physical Therapists can help you set and achieve personal goals for physical movement as well as for overall health and wellness.

We help active adults to move better, and we teach you what you must do on your own, outside of our facility, to maintain the results we achieve at BEST PT. When we identify what makes you feel better, you have to keep doing it. This sustainability of wellness is our ultimate goal, and our Physical Therapists want to inspire you to sustain a lifetime of pain-free living and optimum performance. There is overwhelming evidence that physical therapy can be more effective than surgery for certain problems like low back pain. But it is not a quick fix. It takes time, work, and most importantly the will to improve your daily life experience.

Baseball

The majority of baseball injuries are a result of repetitive movements. Many athletes focus on repetitive throwing to improve skills, without spending adequate time on critical strengthening and stretching to condition the body for throwing activities. BEST PT will focus on the individual needs to offer optimal injury prevention and performance benefits so that maximum potential can be achieved.

Basketball

A variety of injuries can affect basketball players, that are either occur suddenly or happen as a result of overuse and repetitive motions, such as shooting the ball.

Basketball players are typically prone to injuries that correspond with specific motions of the game. For example, the ankle can be injured from landing or jumping while off balance. Knee injuries are common as a result of decelerating during cutting and stopping. Stress fractures are also a common basketball injury that occurs as a result of rapid increases in the level of training.

The best way to avoid basketball-related injuries is to be trained in proper technique and mechanics, so players are prepared for the demands of the game. whether playing recreationally or competitively.

BEST PT will focus on the individual needs to offer optimal injury prevention and performance benefits so that maximum potential can be achieved.

Endurance Sports

At BEST PT we respect the discipline and endurance of runners and multi-sport athletes. We can identify and rehabilitate your injuries; but beyond that, we want to help you maximize your potential with sport-specific training. Every treatment plan is specific to the individual’s needs.

In addition to developing an individualized, sport-specific therapeutic exercise program, your Physical Therapist can use manual therapy techniques to reduce restrictions and maintain functional movement patterns.

BEST PT will focus on the individual needs to offer optimal injury prevention and performance benefits so that maximum potential can be achieved.

Football

Traumatic injuries such as ACL and/or meniscus tears in the knees or labrum tears in the shoulder could be the result or overuse and injuries like lower back pain or knee stiffness and pain.

BEST PT will focus on the individual needs to offer optimal injury prevention and performance benefits so that maximum potential can be achieved.

Golf

When it comes to golf, adding yards to your game and improving joint mobility and stability are top priorities when creating a consistent and powerful swing. We help collegiate and recreational golfers of all ages and skill levels identify limitations to enhance their athleticism and optimize overall performance. We work with golfers recovering from an injury to get them back on the course at full strength.

And, we work with the golfers to develop a training program that includes an exercise plan and complete game warm-up for home and for the course.

Seniors

At BEST PT, our staff of highly trained therapists has the experience and skills to evaluate the physical function of older adults with a variety of physical problems, helping them return to a more active and rewarding lifestyle!

Many older adults are faced with age-related problems such as loss of balance, declining muscular strength, osteoporosis, arthritis and decreased mobility. These problems can lead to functional impairments which can impact the quality of life and determine an individual’s ability to live independently.

Research has shown that physical therapy can be effective in reducing the pain of hip and knee osteoarthritis, which is very common among older adults. When therapy is initiated early in individuals with osteoarthritis, it may be possible to decrease the use of pain medication as well as reduce or delay the incidence of surgery!

Soccer

A demanding sport, soccer requires astounding amounts of stamina, agility, and balance. Injuries to the lower extremities are the most common in soccer.

These injuries may be traumatic, such as a kick to the leg or a twist to the knee, or result from overuse of a muscle, tendon, or bone. Sprains and strains are the most common lower extremity injuries, and the severity of these injuries can vary.

BEST PT Physical Therapists have helped soccer players rehab injuries and return to sport stronger and faster. Your therapists will help you recover from your injury and work to identify the movement patterns that may have led to the damaged tissues in the first place.

If you are experiencing pain or a physical problem that is affecting your game, come in for a consultation with a BEST PT Physical Therapist.

Tennis

Recreational and professional tennis players spend a lot of time on the court, leading to many common over-use injuries.

Repetitive arm motions required to serve and hit the ball can lead to rotator cuff tendinitis, shoulder impingement, and tennis elbow. It’s common for tennis athletes to experience low back pain due to the fast weight transfers, jumping, and twisting that happen on the court.

BEST PT Physical Therapists work with you to relieve the painful symptoms of your tennis injury and to restore function so that you return without pain and with a better understanding of how to maintain optimum performance.

Tennis, like all sports, requires a healthy amount of cross-training off the court in order to develop the strength, mobility, and balance to keep you fully functional in the game. As part of your treatment plan, your Therapist will educate you in how to maintain these cross-training practices for your game.

Workers Compensation

The injured worker is similar to the injured athlete; only the playing field is different. Our dedicated therapists work with all involved parties for a successful return to work.

Youth Athletics

Youth athletes have special needs in their training and rehabilitation of injuries.

Regardless of their fitness and skill level, youth cannot be conditioned or trained like an adult or a professional athlete. Sometimes these injuries can have lifetime consequences.

BEST PT approaches the youth athlete with the same individualized treatment that we apply to all of our athletes, with consideration for the youth’s unique physical development.

BEST PT works with the youth athlete to rehabilitate injuries and strives to return the youth to sport stronger and better than before. We work to educate, helping to develop healthy habits for a sustainable lifetime of athletic endeavors and success.

No matter your injury or need, during your session, you may secure your belongings in one of our lockers.
